June 2008

"It went in here somewhere". Picture taken by Ted Childs at the Northampton Saints Rugby Football Stadium. Chris (our club chairman) was taking his boat to the dressing rooms for the night when he dropped the top of his longboat over into the water  which only seemed a few feet deep. So he did no more than hop over the rail only to find that the water was almost five feet deep. The top of his narrow boat was recovered, but a ladder was needed to get Chris out soaked from the chest down.

Club members are now starting to get a bit worried about the club committee, so far two have preferred to get into the water with their boats rather than stand with the rest of us on the bankside. Hmmm...when is the next AGM?
